WHAT DO I DO ABOUT THE BROKEN GEARS?

You need to somehow fix them, even if temporarily, so as to get the elevator doors to open.

You should have everything you need on you.

Something long and thin should work well in holding the gears in place. For a while at least.

Remember to secure the gears in the right order, or they won't work properly.

Start with using the pen to fix the gear in the middle.

Now fix the gear on the left with the penlight.

Use the crossbow bolt on the gear on the right.

And now for the finishing touch on the broken arm …

Use the duct tape on it. Duct tape fixes everything.
