How do I escape the gunman?

1. You'll find he's quite reasonable when you talk to him.

2. You can ask for permission to extract a confession out of your suspect, for example.

3. Talk to your suspect until he confesses. He's almost enthusiastic about it now.

4. Looks who's here! If only you could somehow alert the sheriff, he could finally make himself useful.

5. Yelling doesn't work in these circumstances. Luckily, you've recently mastered another mode of communication.

6. Use the flashlight on the sheriff to signal a Morse SOS (well, it's almost SOS). You knew learning those symbols would come in handy again.

7. You're now free to go. The sheriff can deal with them.
